So good news, I just got my A1c test results back and I’m at 5.7%! This is a great number for being post TP/AIT. I’m very happy with the results!
The hemoglobin A1c test is an important test for people with diabetes and post TP/AIT patients. The hemoglobin A1c test is a blood test that is given to check an average of one’s blood sugar levels of the past three months. This test helps determine how well one’s blood sugar levels are on average throughout the day and helps determine if there needs to be an adjustment made in medication.
What is a normal range for an hemoglobin A1c?
People with diabetes = Less than 7%
People without diabetes = Between 4% and 6%
